In addition to acquisitions, we are also actively looking for in-licensing opportunities.
We are interested in therapy areas which are complementary to our existing promoted business interests in dermatology, oncology and urology, although we are happy to look at products which meet our criteria in other therapy areas too.
Typically we would look to take-on products for which all clinical trial work has been completed and which are either, in the process of registration, or which are already registered and ready to commercialise.
We have good experience in bringing new products to market, leveraging where possible the relationships we have built up with health care professionals in our existing promoted therapy areas.
Our assessment processes for in-licensing opportunities mirror those for acquisitions, being led by our core business development team, supported by expertise from elsewhere in the business, as needed.
We aim to complete a thorough and timely assessment of opportunities and will work with prospective licensing partners to agree a balanced share of the risks and rewards inherent in bringing a new product to market.
