JOB TITLE: Commercial Manager UK & ROI

Purpose:

To manage our key commercial relationships, supporting growth in our promoted products portfolio & optimising profits our non-promoted product portfolio.

The Commercial Manager is required to support the Head of Commercial UK & ROI in maximising the growth and profitability of the UK & ROI business unit. You will ensure the commercial relationships with distributors, key customers and other sales partners (collectively termed clients) are delivering the maximum results for our business.

The key responsibilities of the Commercial Manager are:

  • Supporting the delivery of financials for the UK & ROI business – with a critical focus on driving contribution across the business unit
  • Supporting the delivery of brand channel strategy identifying priority growth customers that is fully aligned with brand team
  • Driving net sales & profitability growth in priority growth brands and with key growth customers.
  • High focus on E-Commerce strategy (UK & supporting EMEA) and implementation of growth initiatives in E-Commerce and Amazon.
  • High focus on driving a data driven channel strategy that clearly defines net sales & margin enhancing opportunities.
  • Managing the day-to-day requirements of key distribution relationships across UK & ROI – e.g. UDD / UDC / BD / Venture Life.

Key accountabilities:

  • The management of the commercial agenda with our ROI partners and the development of ambitious plans for the key focus brands alongside the UK/ROI marketing team.
  • The building and maintenance of relationships with key partners for the UK business and RWA agreement (e.g. Tesco, Sainsburys, ASDA, Boots, Superdrug, Amazon).
  • The maximisation of the value within the existing UK portfolio to deliver against key financial metrics (sales, margin, contribution, return on investment).
  • Supporting the portfolio pricing strategy to maintain margins due to COGS increases and drive the annual CPI process. Highlighting the opportunities and risks this presents.
  • Maximising the opportunity within e-commerce across all brands via Amazon UK and D2C opportunities – with a high focus on increasing brand contribution levels / driving the brand team to invest.
  • Monitoring and managing stock issues including regular review of stock, shelf life and minimisation of stock provisions, working with the SA&OP teams. Making recommendations on how to minimise any impact.
  • Maintaining the awareness of the medicinal product Wholesaling activities for Alliance Pharma (Ireland) Limited, including ability to access related records.
  • Maintaining the knowledge and understanding of Good Distribution Practice.

The successful Commercial Manager will have:

  • A degree in Business Management or another related subject
  • Significant experience of working in Bricks & Mortar Pharmacy Channel/Online Retail & Digital Marketing
  • Previous responsibility for Commercial Strategy & Implementation
  • Strong negotiation skills and a demonstrable energy to win
  • Strong Commercial Acumen
